This is a quaint and charming hotel that caters to tourists. It has lovely rooms and bathrooms with fluffy towels and nice Toiletries. The staff was very helpful, providing maps and suggestions for places to see. With the city tax at this hotel (maybe others too?) you get free access to all the public transportation- trams, boats everything. The restaurant is an experience- fondue with yodeling and bell playing local style. I’d prefer to be closer to old town, but this was a lovely option close to the lake.

Wonderful staff made our stay very pleasant. The hotel is centrally located close to train station, shopping, restaurants. Front desk staff is excellent and very friendly and helpful. Dennis and Tico were wonderful and assisted in everything we needed. Again the whole front desk staff was amazing. Breakfast is included and the staff was also exceptional while providing a wonderful breakfast buffet.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Wellenberg Hotel. It’s in a great location with easy access to cafe’s, bars and restaurants. The public transport system is a few minutes walk away and super efficient. Our room on the fourth floor was spacious and tastefully furnished. The breakfast room is bright and airy with plenty of excellent choices to eat. One of the highlights of our stay was the wonderful, welcoming staff. Everyone we met from the people in reception, housekeeping and the breakfast room were unfailingly warm, efficient, professional and friendly. No hesitation in highly recommending this hotel to other travellers.

Booking the ‘Owners Suite’ for a special birthday,the only thing that was special was the location. The lighting in the 2nd bathroom flicked on and off, despite mentioning this to reception on 2 consecutive days. There were no towels from day 2 without calling reception, no tissues, no milk - despite there being a coffee machine and the room wsa not serviced until after 3p.m. There was a mini bar but it was empty. The heated towel rails did not work and took 2 days for them to be fixed and as a “sorry”reception called the room at 10:15p.m.to offer us a free drink in the bar. This hotel and the costly Owners Suite was chosen because of the location and as a special treat - never again. Value for money NOT.

EXCELLENT location, 10 to 15 minutes walk to most local attractions, grocery store 3- 5 minute walk, strong Wi-Fi, great continental breakfast with a couple of HOT options or specialty menu for fee, world renowned room service menu from Louis Brasserie Restaurant, comfortable bed with fluffy pillows, DAILY room cleaning, strong hot water pressure, CLEAN hotel with two operable elevators, beautiful relaxing library, superb staff and registration team, great communication from USA, friendly breakfast staff, SAFE relaxing atmosphere, automatic entry/exit doors, automatic generator messages, QR code interactive information system (android phones might need to download QR code reader), no airport shuttle but will reserve you a taxi or other transportation... all in the heart of Old Town off the main Square. The hotel and staff goes above and beyond to make the guests feel right at home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel and look forward to staying there again.
